Dove was rescued in July 2025 by Jennifer Pesnell, a Paws NELA volunteer. She had a shattered front leg, pebbles in her belly, was dangerously anemic and barely clinging to life. 15/10 Foundation stepped in to cover her amputation surgery and in August 2025 she officially became a Ducote. Dove has the funniest personality. She loves to squeak toys incessantly, practice her rolls and flips in the yard, snuggle with her brother Murphy, but, most impressively, Dove has welcomed 8 short term fosters to our home with a wagging tail and derpy smile. She has taught frightened shelter dogs that real family does exist and better days are ahead. When a foster leaves for their furever family, Dove is always ready to welcome in the next.
