Murphy was our very first foster dog. He had arrived at Ruston Animal Control with mom and one sibling in October 2025 and nobody had expressed interest in him. Paws NELA pulled him in March 2026 and he came to our house. A few weeks after his arrival we all realized he had bonded so incredibly fast with our other rescue, a tripod named Dove, that we just couldn’t let him leave. Murphy is a very relaxed boy, he lives for new squeaky toys, chewing on bones and playing in the yard with his sister Dove or whichever new foster dog we have at the time. He’s a friendly boy, so far he’s welcomed 8 foster dogs into the pack. He’s a big mama’s boy who loves to plop down on the couch next to me. He has the most soulful eyes and always looks a bit like the cat who ate the canary.
